Strat 60s reissue, one of the made Japan ones that were arguably
better than the American strats of the period, its got Texas Specials

II Limited Edition Brazilian one of only 200 made - darker sounding
than the Modern Eagle but a smooth sustain to die for - this is

24 one of only 300 made with Indian Rosewood neck (Wide Thin),
for some reason PRS have held off making Rosewood neck CU24s,
McCarty & CU22 models seem to crop up quite often. Also came
with Vintage Bass & Original Dragon Treble pickup, (CU24s
usually have HFS at bridge), currently fitted with Bare Knuckle
Mules. Absolute joy to play, McCarty style wiring but with push/push
tone pot. |

Aria TA-61 very nice 335/330/345
hybrid with switch to split the humbuckers - lots of great sounds

80s version nicely aged and upgraded with Seymour Duncan Antiquity

II pickups usually found on CU 22s, plays and sounds like a
dream incredible range of sounds from two pickups, now living
in Stockton on Tees.

Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro,
this one was apparently a custom order so it has both the 9
way switching and a tone control making it very versatile, Seymour
Duncan pickups, Wilkinson trem and Ebony board not to mention
the colour make it rather special, this is now Ron's baby.

PRS Custom 24 10 top and
when I bought it unusual because it had PRS7 pickups (usually
only found on singlecuts) its now got BareKnuckle Mules which
can be coil taped to give some awesome sounds. After being reunited
with its original pickups (HFS & VB this fine guitar has
now gone to Manchester via Welwyn Garden City.

and smoothness thats second to none, now in Nottingham with another

Rosewood Neck, pair of tapable McCarty humbuckers, slightly thicker
body than most PRS's and that amazing solid Rosewood neck gives
tones to die for. The Rosewood necks really do feel like silk,
if you ever get the chance, try one (but only if you are prepared
to be unhappy with all your other guitars), now living in Ireland

Suhr Custom Classic with
SSC (no single coil hum) and a Villex passive mid boost. Beautifully
made Swamp Ash Strat by the man who made those very special
guitars for Mark Knopfler - a quality piece of kit, now gone
the way of Ebay - Martin just can't get on with Strats no matter
how good they are :-( |

1975 SG Custom, heavily
modified to allow any pickup combination, tiny neck, they did
not call them fretless wonders for nothing, now making someone
happy in Oxford.

Unusual JHS through neck
construction 24 frets and active electrics - huge range of sounds
believed to be an XG250 - 70s vintage, now keeping the blues
alive in Surrey.

Piezo, two buckers with a 5 way switch that give a simular set
of sounds to a PRS CU 5 way plus a piezo bridge for pretty authentic
acoustic sounds, seperate outputs options as well if you want
to feed the desk, then there is that 60s profile oil/waxed maple
neck that just feels great, now rocking in Italy

Martin's Freshman Apollo electro-acoustic excellent value for money and very handy for knocking up a tune, another one that's unlikely to get to a VS gig
